There’s run-of-the-mill phone dependency, and then there’s this guy: According to Playbill, an audience member jumped up on stage to plug in his iPhone right before a Sunday performance of Hand To God at the Booth Theater. He was disappointed to find that not only was it a nonworking outlet (because PROPS, dude!), but he was rightly called out by stage management and booed by his fellow audience members. After a lecture from the crew about how this was not proper Broadway etiquette, the show went on without a hitch. The Hand To God cast joined in on the mocking fun later that evening on Twitter:
A guy jumped on the stage and plugged his phone into the fake outlet on our set just before we started. @HandtoGodBway #fullmoon or #idiot ?

Dear general audience, an electrical socket that’s a part of the set of the play is NOT for you to charge your iPhone…..just an FYI….. — Marc Kudisch (@MarcKuds) July 4, 2015
