Today’s video games feature a lot of sex symbols, from Nathan Drake in Uncharted to FemShep in Mass Effect, but that wasn’t always the case. In spite of this, Shutterstock enlisted the help of artist Echo Chernik to draw classic video game heroes on the covers of romance novels. You’ve probably never thought of Mario or Pacman this way (unless you write fanfiction, in which case you probably think of them this way a lot.)
I also don’t remember that dog being too broken up about me shooting birds in Duck Hunt. I actually distinctly remember him laughing at me as a threw an orange plastic gun across the room.
