After To Catch A Predator ended its three-year run on Dateline NBC in 2007, it left a pervert-bustin’ hole in our hearts. That’s why in April 2015, host Chris Hansen announced that he was attempting to bring back the hidden camera series via crowdsourcing, because in this day and age there are countless more ways for sexual predators to stalk young victims online than there were in the mid-aughts.
Well, the people have spoken, and Hansen raised nearly $90,000 to bring his vision of an updated To Catch A Predator — now called Hansen vs. Predator — to life. The project began sting operations in October last year, and now we have our first look at the new vigilante reality series, if you’d like to pull up a chair and crack open a Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
Hansen is, in fact, back, and better than ever, asking men caught red-handed the hard-hitting questions like, “What was on the agenda tonight?,” “now, you came here to smoke weed with a 13-year-old girl,” and “is that against the law, to have sex with a 13-year-old when you’re 44? Yes! It’s against the law!” Okay so maybe some of those weren’t questions per se, but you get the point.
The sizzle reel was released on the The Cappening Channel on YouTube, and we can supposedly look for Hansen vs. Predator coming soon. Eat dirt, perverts!
