When all was said and done, the Twilight film franchise made more than $3.4 billion at the box office globally, and that does not include book, DVD and merchandise sales. On top of that, the Fifty Shades of Grey book and now film franchise was created in the message board threads of Twilight fan fiction. Of course, the latter had nothing to do with the supernatural, but it may have never existed if it weren’t for Stephanie Meyer’s beloved lusty vampire and werewolf stories.
If anything, Twilight proved that there was a colossal market for supernatural romance, and once you start down that road it shouldn’t surprise anyone that there’s also a fondness out there for supernatural erotica. Thanks to our friends at Geekologie, we know this is very true thanks to their discovery of two authors on Amazon who are pushing their own brand of dinosaur erotica.
With titles that include T-Rex Troubles, Ravished by the Triceratops, Mating with the Raptor (above) and, I swear I’m not kidding, Taken by the Pterodactyl, authors Christie Sims and Alara Branwen are at the forefront of such genres as “Dinosaur Beast Erotica,” “Gryphon Erotica” and “Weretiger Erotica,” among others. But before you scratch your head any further, let Sims’ Amazon bio help you understand the most important question – “WHYYYYYYYYYY?”
I’m just a plain old, everyday Midwestern girl that lives a normal life. However, while my outward tastes are relatively simple, my inner thoughts are filled with lusty thoughts of big, strong, powerful monsters having their way with beautiful maidens.
Almost all of my stories fall under the Monster Sex genre, and come from the inner desires that spring from my mind.
Before you get too excited, that profile image she uses is from Shutterstock. I know, I’m a party pooper, but I’ve gone ahead and included some of my favorite book covers so we can all look at them and ask, “Really?”
