The movie adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s parody mashup novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has been beset by problems. It’s gone through three directors: Wasikowska were rumored to be candidates. Now Slashfilm says the lead has been offered to Emma Stone, who is awesome.
The script is being co-written by author Seth Grahame-Smith and Marti Noxon, who wrote the script for Gillespie’s Fright Night and wrote several fan-favorite episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Considering Emma Stone already adorably battled zombies in 2009’s Zombieland, you could say this casting choice is . . . *sunglasses* . . . a no-brainer. YEEEEAAAA–I’m very sorry.
