This story involves a man getting seriously injured, perhaps seriously so, so I feel kinda icky about feeling gleeful over it, but I can’t help it — I feel kind of gleeful over it. Judge me accordingly.
Here’s the gist: a drunk, belligerent Goldman Sachs employee — apparently pissed over his wife leaving him and unhappy with his job — was rambling down a New York City street last night and stumbled into an outdoor table at Benny’s Burritos, an NYC burrito chain, where a black couple was dining. When the couple attempted to help him get up and gather himself, the drunk Goldman Sachs employee began dropping n-word bombs on the couple, which enraged the male half of the couple enough for him to feel compelled to knock the drunk, racist banker the f*ck out right there on the sidewalk.
Reports the New York Post:
Douglas Reddish, 25, ate with his girlfriend at Benny’s Burritos on Greenwich Ave. on Friday night when the soused stranger knocked into their outdoor table, authorities said.
Reddish steadied him since he lost his footing, cops said. Waiters had been rushing over to shoo him away.
“This n—-r wants to fight me,” the belligerent man roared, cops said.
Then Reddish punched him, cops said.
He fell backwards and landed on the sidewalk. His head smashed against the concrete curb and bled profusely, cops said.
“He was out cold. I thought he was dead,” said Benny’s worker Robert Garcia.
In other words, burritos weren’t the only thing being served at Benny’s last night. ZING!
