Google has, naturally, joined in on the April Fools’ shenanigans, and it’s actually a pretty sweet, silly statement on how we simultaneously yearn for the good old days while desperately seeking the next big thing in technology. Presenting… the Google Smartbox, the mailbox of the future that brings us the best of real, paper mail, as well as the apps and portability we need to get by in today’s hectic world, kind of. Narrated by the gravitas-filled voice of Kelsey Grammer, this video shows us that Google not only has a sense of humor about itself, but not all April Fools’ pranks have to be stupid.
