Jared Kushner’s Iraq Visit Is Roasted Without Pity Thanks To #KushnerAtWar

Move over, G.I. Joe! JARED KUSHNER IS THE EMBODIMENT OF TODAY’S MILITARY! Well, not really. But Donald Trump’s senior advisor/sweetie lil’ son-in-law definitely managed to capture the world’s attention with his surprise trip to Iraq. A lot of that attention wound up arriving on Saturday as the #KushnerAtWar roasted the high ranking official (and man of sketchy meetings) with knives out and party hats on.

Twitter made loads of use of that hashtag while sorting out exactly what Kushner’s military garb reminded them of. Was it Omar Bradley? Ike Eisenhower? John Rambo? Of course not. Let the quips rain down.

Likely to Kushner and his image-obsessed pres/dad-in-law’s chagrin, these sort of gags didn’t need a hashtag to begin with. Folks have been clowning Kushner over his army attire for days now. At least he can get some advice from Donald Trump Jr. about what happens when your photo doesn’t pan out the way you expected. Heck, we wouldn’t be surprised if Michael Dukakis considered sending a fruit basket.

If it’s any consolation for Jared Kushner and his well-wishers, a #KushnerAtWar hashtag may have better optics than the #FireKushner hashtag that’s sprung up recently in the row between Kushner supporters and Steve Bannon supporters. Odds are, the unflattering hashtags will keep on coming over the next four.
