8 Places You Probably Don’t Remember Seeing Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner is seemingly in everything lately, and good for him. The guy has paid his dues. I have a much greater appreciation for actors who spend years toiling with waiters and limo drivers before hitting it big. I think we all do, or at least should. Those experiences create a humility that’s almost impossible to achieve otherwise and usually leaves the person in question far more grounded and likable.

Thanks to the internet and tools like Wikipedia and IMDb,when the slacker bro from National Lampoon’s Senior Trip becomes an Avenger and takes over the Bourne series we can go back and refresh our collective memories on the other places we may have seen him in between. Throughout the course of Jeremy Renner’s Clooney-lite career (seven cancelled TV series by my count) he’s left quite a trail that will totally make it easier to take him seriously as a super secret agent this weekend. Promise.

Renner’s first credited acting gig. Why yes, the teenage version of myself did rent it in hopes there would be boobs.

I’ve never seen an episode of Joss Whedon’s Angel. It’s a wonder they let me into Comic-Con. Renner’s single episode arc in 2000 looks like it required a lot of product.

SPOILER: First you think he definitely did it, only to then decide he didn’t, but in the end it turns out he totally did do it. Gil Grissom had it figured out all along.

That’s right, Renner was the guy who portrayed Jeffrey Dahmer in the Dahmer movie that you always saw a single copy of staring at you from the shelf at your local Blockbuster. I’m glad you asked, it is available on Instant.

Apparently this was an actual show on Bravo in 2003 in which Renner and other actors let cameras follow them as they attempted to make it. It only lasted one season, presumably because it didn’t feature enough insufferable housewives and advised all the actors to go heavy on the guyliner.

I can’t be the only who was all like, “Whoa, the dude from Senior Trip is the bad guy?” the first time I saw S.W.A.T. on USA, right? RIGHT?

The one where Renner played a reckless musician dying of something that was not Lupus.

I’m sure all you Pink Twitter followers out there remember Renner as the bad boy sheriff with a penchant for hoop earrings in Pink’s “Trouble” video. Modern classic, that one.
