Hey, how could they improve The Flash? Felicity is a good start. Plus a look at some of this week’s other shows, including Agents of SHIELD, Supernatural and Face Off.
8pm
The Flash, The CW: Captain Cold makes his first appearance, and Felicity crosses over. We’ll be counting the ice puns in the comments.
Shark Of Darkness: Wrath Of Submarine, Animal Planet: Animal Planet airs a blatantly fake “documentary” that’s actually a fun cheesy thriller once you realize how full of crap it actually is. All it needs is Ancient Aliens Guy.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army, FXM: Pretty much the closest you’ll get to a Halloween-ish movie on cable at this time slot.
9pm
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC: HYDRA stages a false flag operation to discredit S.H.I.E.L.D. …Wait, does this mean Infowars is secretly a HYDRA front? So much is explained!
Supernatural, The CW: Fun fact: The director of this episode also made Jaws 2 and Supergirl. Also, the Winchesters fight a werewolf. Wouldn’t that take these guys like five minutes? They’ve been at this for a decade by now.
Halloween III: Season Of The Witch, AMC: Hey, AMC is running the Halloween movie that has nothing whatsoever to do with the rest of the franchise! This is part of their marathon of all the Halloween movies so, uh, maybe avoid AMC for a day or so.
Face Off, Syfy: This behind-the-scenes effects show is really quite fun, and lacks the nastiness of many reality competitions. The punny title this time is “One Knight Only,” so take that accordingly.
10pm
Person of Interest, CBS: I know this show is popular, but it doesn’t creep anybody else out that it’s basically an infomercial for taking the NSA private? Anyway, this episode appears to take on this show’s version of Walter Mitty… which, I admit, is kinda appealing.
Doom, MAXe: In case you needed a sedative.
Twice-Told Tales, TCM: A fun little horror anthology from the ’60s starring Vincent Price.
Remember, I’ll be liveblogging The Flash, and feel free to chat about any of tonight’s geeky TV in the comments. See you at 8!
