World-renowned astrophysicist and Internet super-duper-star Neil deGrasse Tyson is walking, talking proof that you can be one of the smartest people in the world and still sit at the cool kids table in the cafeteria. Because he was the captain of the wrestling team at the Bronx High School of Science, Tyson once believed that if he ever took on the identity of a superhero, he could be “Geek Man” and he would “fly around the world, protecting geeks from the bullies out there.” That’s just one of the revelations he makes in this new video collaboration between his StarTalk Radio show and Business Insider, as Tyson reveals the “nerdiest things” that he has ever done.
While “nerdy” can be a truly subjective term, it’s really hard to deny that becoming so obsessed with a Rubik’s Cube that you forego personal hygiene is one of the nerdier things that any man can admit. And yet so many of us have been there. Keep up the good fight, Geek Man.
