A Pizza Hut in Kermit, West Virginia has been closed after a surveillance video surfaced of a man, identified to be the franchise’s district manager, was caught urinating in a sink used to wash utensils and supplies. And here, all along stupid me thought pizza was the grossest thing you’d find in the kitchen of a Pizza Hut. Heyoo! Pizza Hut released the following statement; via 7WTRF:
“First of all, we are embarrassed by the actions of this individual. Pizza Hut has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and the local owner of the restaurant took immediate action and terminated the employee involved. While the isolated incident occurred during non-business hours and did not involve any food tampering, we follow strict safety and handling procedures and the restaurant has since been closed. We apologize to our customers of Kermit, West Virginia and those in our system who have been let down by this situation.”
I hate to break the news, but for anyone who eats fast food on a regular basis, a little bit of sink pee is probably one of the lesser evils you’ve encountered. I’d be more concerned about bovine fecal matter, human fecal matter, spit, pubes, mucus and a myriad of other disgusting yet inventive things apathetic, disgruntled people who get paid way below a living wage do to your food, but that’s just me. Plus, I can’t tell for sure, but it looks like at least he’s washed his hands. Points for that!
