After serving 22 months in the belly of the beast for shooting himself in the leg, former Giants wide receiver and Super Bowl champ Plaxico Burress is a free man this morning. Now, the biggest question is where the former star will land. At age 33, he’s definitely aged and questions will loom regarding the effects of prison on his physical ability and mental stamina.
But teams will be apt to look in his direction because Burress possesses size and many teams are willing to give players a shot after watching Mike Vick’s recent redemption. Commissioner Goodell has already cleared the WR to play, citing the jail time served as sufficient punishment and agent Drew Rosenhaus will be shopping his player around immediately.
