This guy f**king hates Wednesdays.
Alright, so stop me if you’ve heard this one already: so, a robot rolls into a coffee shop, right, and…um, the robot purchases a scone. Jesus, that joke seemed way more thought out on paper. Anyway, moving right along, turns out these days robots really are picking up snacks to-go from your local java hut. So was the case in Mountain View, California last week.
In what can only be described as “a painfully slow viral video”, footage has surfaced online of an owner’s personal $15,000 Anybot strolling its way inside a local Red Rock Coffee shop to purchase a scone. VIa the Anybot’s display screen, the user controlling the bot interacts with staff and scares the living sh*t out of them, eventually ordering a scone. Keep in mind too that Mountain View, CA is also where Anybots, Inc.’s HQ is located, so surely there’s got to be a connection with the video.
