Man Up by Liam Brazier
When Liam Brazier’s polygons fit together to make Superman, they really work. His fractured effect is prismatic with streaks of complimentary colors interacting across the image. As a result his Superman and Batman images seem alive with energy. His portraits of Star Wars characters are not as lively, perhaps due to the muted white, brown and grays of Storm Troopers and Tusken raiders. There are some real stand outs there as well however, his C-3PO portrait, aptly named Golden One, makes the protocol droid as imposing as the machine man on the poster of Metropolis. His Darth Vader portrait shows the Dark Lord towering above the viewer and gives him a reddish visage that works really well.
