This “Threat Level Midnight” Hurricane Irene path is making its rounds and as much as I’d like to believe the Weather Channel regularly drops awesome Office Easter eggs in their weather mapping, it’s actually a photoshopped version of one of the many Weather.com map variations depicting how Hurricane Irene is about to obliterate your family’s East Coast beach house. But as far as I’m concerned an inspired photoshop is as good — if not better — than any real image. So let’s have fun with it.
The first way would be to chuckle at the Reddit commentors speculating the Weather Channel is referencing the Doomsday Clock while other in on it Redditors bombard them with Goldenface references. DURRRRRRRRRR.
The other way is to use parts of the best episode of season 7 of The Office to plot a sequel to Threat Level Midnight where Agent Michael Scarn is assigned to neutralize the Hurricane Irene threat. To open, I imagine Irene is all like…
And then…
The President calls on Michael Scarn…
So Scarn bolts into action…
But then Irene is all like this to Wilmington…
And then Michael Scarn feels all…
But Irene is all like this to the rest of the northeast…
So Scarn is like…
And Irene is like…
AND THE WORLD DOES THE SCARN!
THE END. (I hope Hurricane Irene doesn’t do any serious damage.)
