Keep your eyes on your fake-o-meter because it might swing violently into the redzone after watching this video. Still, I want this to be real so bad. Why? Because it means those long hours fooling with ridiculous “magic cards” and a cheap, plastic magic wand when I was a child were not wasted. It’s possible that this security camera footage proves magic is real.
Well, hypnosis is not really a form of magic. It’s more like some sort of mental conditioning, or it might possibly be a centuries-old form of satanic wizardry; honestly I have no clue. This video was released last month but it’s possible it hasn’t gotten around to your inbox yet. In it, you can see a man walk into a London liquor store, say a few magic words, point to his belly, then voila! He makes money disappear from the shopkeeper’s pocket. Not a bad trick.
A detective involved with he case told the London Evening Standard, “The victim remained motionless and unable to stop the robbery taking place. He said that he was momentarily unaware of what had happened to him.”
What would have made this video even better is if the wizard thief looked into the CCTV camera longingly and slowly backed out of the store without breaking eye contact.
