In case you hadn’t figured it out yet, MTV’s latest series to feature a bunch of obnoxious, self-centered drunks is on the way out. Seriously, it’s hard to see “Jersey Shore” surviving for another season.
So, Wizard, in its infinite publishing wisdom that got “Twisted Toyfare Theater” taken away from us, is publishing a “The Situation” comic book. He’s going to be a superhero. Seriously. The dude who looks like Richard Nixon on steroids is getting his own comic book.
We’re skeptical of how this will sell, if for no other reason than “The Situation” is the Platonic ideal of the guy who told you only homosexuals read anything printed on paper in high school. Also, the fact that his entire family will be involved, to the point of making appearances at Wizard World, also makes us skeptical. Of, among other things, attending any Wizard events.
Make some suggestions for the creative team in the comments. I think Judd Winick and Rob Liefeld would be perfect, myself.
