The Internet Has Loads Of Wonderful Questions About Trump’s Longtime Doctor

Once the report from NBC News hit about Donald Trump’s longtime doctor Harold Bornstein, the internet seemed to catch fire over how the gent looked, the state of his office, and the operating system he used on his computer. So yeah, business as usual for people online.

But the questions raised by folks carry a little bit of weight to them, mostly revolving around how such a person exists. Deadspin summed it up by listing the most insane bits one could find in the NBC interview, with their second choice carrying a lot of weight on the relationship between Trump and Bornstein:

[Asked how he could justify claiming Trump would be the healthiest individual ever elected]:“I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead.”

A very literal take. A very Trump-like take. It makes sense because they apparently think alike and those are Bornstein’s words, taking a page from the Scott Baio playbook. But his words are only the tip of the online curiousity. His look, way of life, and office space are also fodder under the knife and you can’t blame the people for doing so. Bornstein is living life to the fullest and the evidence is all around him:

Just take in that last image and compare it to your actual doctor. Lament that your MD isn’t keeping you in peak physical health while also looking like he belongs on a Jethro Tull album cover. That’s a guy who is constantly living at the bottom of the Cuervo bottle.

But despite this fun, one thing in particular caught the eye of many folks online: Bornstein’s operating system. It would seem that his look isn’t the only thing that is living in the past:

Now this is an interesting revelation according to Gizmodo because it might be a HIPAA violation:

Why does it matter if Dr. Bornstein is using an outdated operating system? Well, it could be a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Microsoft stopped supporting Windows XP back in 2014 and HIPAA requires doctors to make continued security updates to their systems to protect the privacy of the information they collect on their patients.

Information stored on a computer running Windows XP is potentially at risk and the security community pretty universally regards Windows XP as unsafe at this point.

Perhaps there is somebody out there that could write Bornstein a note giving him the OK to keep using XP in his office. Perhaps when Trump ascends to the White House, he can just wipe HIPAA from existence and give countless doctors the power to practice their own brand of medicine with patients across the nation. Or maybe somebody can just buy a new computer.
