Back in 2014, the signature chant of WWE’s Daniel Bryan — “Yes! Yes! Yes!” — became a viral sports movement. The San Francisco Giants used it as motivation to win the World Series, the Michigan State Spartans used it to celebrate their Rose Bowl victory and New York Islanders fans started chanting it as a goal celebration. So much so, in fact, that older season-ticket-holders campaigned to make them stop.
Good news for Islanders and Daniel Bryan fans, and bad news for the older people who’ll probably never play it anyway: The “Yes! Yes! Yes!” goal celebration has been included in the upcoming NHL 16. We haven’t even gotten that confirmed for WWE 2K16. EA Sports and the Islanders even shared a video of the chant in action, which you can see above. It’s comforting to know that “Yes! Yes! Yes!” will live on meaning what it’s supposed to mean (read: unbridled sports enthusiasm), and not its current WWE usage, which is mostly, “remember when this Tough Enough judge was a wrestler?”
Now all we need is a special move where Matt Martin can jump and knee people in the face.
