Two of the greatest wrestlers to ever face off in a wrestling ring came together again after nearly two decades. After a feud that extended through Japan, WWF, and WCW, Madusa (the former Alundra Blayze) and Bull Nakano reunited in the Japanese joshi promotion STARDOM and made the hearts of every fan of women’s wrestling skip a beat:
If that isn’t enough to make you feel all of your feelings, this is also a thing that happened in real life:
Dear Madusa
The days when I fought you is one of the most awesome moments in my life. I could spend such wonderful time in there because you were there. I thanks you very much. You are my comrade in arms forever.
From BULL NAKANO
Why yes I am currently gently weeping into my lunch because oh my god of course I am.
If you’re not caught up on the greatness that was Alundra Blayze and Bull Nakano, we highly suggest you get your life right and revisit their incredible SummerSlam match from 1994. Both women influenced entire generations of female fans and performers alike, and truth be told this is personally much more significant than any of the Kliq reunions we’re constantly supposed to care about.
Recently inducted WWE Hall of Famer Madusa was named Commissioner of STARDOM USA alongside indie wrestling star Cheerleader Melissa. Both have been tasked with getting an American offshoot of the joshi promotion up and running stateside in the near future.
Madusa is also be featured on the newest episode of the WWE Network series Table For 3 alongside Ivory and Molly Holly, so if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go grab some Kleenex, then rush through everything I have to get done so I can watch it as soon as humanly possible.
