An important piece in WWE’s plan to set an attendance record at WrestleMania 32 just fell into place. Per an announcement made on Instagram on Monday afternoon, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed that he’ll be in the house at AT&T Stadium April 3, 2016, for pro wrestling’s biggest show of the year.
IT’S OFFICIAL: People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN. Ok that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s sayin’.. ?. THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It’s always an honor coming home and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. #PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses
Thrice in a lifetime? Let’s do it.
The previous rumor was that movie obligations with insurance liabilities would keep him off the card, so we’re not sure if this means Rock will be wrestling on the show or just making an appearance. He’s had hosting duties before, and last year he just showed up to watch Ronda Rousey throw Triple H and put the fear of God into Stephanie McMahon. That said, if he’s confident about breaking the all-time attendance record (and putting all-time in caps), you’ve got to think that means he’ll be competing.
So, what do we have to do to get Rousey out of filming Road House for a weekend?
