Some people aren’t cut out to cut people down to size. Case in point: North Carolina Rep. Mark Walker. The Republican congressman called Bruce Springsteen a “bully” for canceling his concert in the wake of the state’s discriminatory bathroom law, presumably because “big ol’ meanie,” “jerkface,” and “noodlehead” were all taken in Sen. Richard Burr’s statement.
“Bruce is known to be on the radical left and he’s got every right to be so, but I consider this a bully tactic,” Walker said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s like when a kid gets upset and says he’s going to take his ball and go home.”
That’s rich coming from a member of congress, which regularly utilizes “take our ball and go home”-style tactics as a de facto plank fairly frequently. But Walker wasn’t done.
“We’ve got other artists coming soon — Def Leppard, Justin Bieber. I’ve never been a Bieber fan, but I might have to go. Maybe artists who weren’t ‘born to run’ deserve a little bit more support.”

Maybe when he does go see Justin Bieber (who is awesome now, we swear), Walker will realize that it’s not too late to say sorry and walk back their bad, bad law.
