Last month at WrestleMania 32 — wow, last month? Really? — things looked great for Zack Ryder. He’d found his way onto the card and won the Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match, and even though he lost it the next night on Raw, he’d gotten his WrestleMania moment. WWE was speaking to him about his life, and he was becoming a three-dimensional character. Zack Ryder was back.
At Extreme Rules, The Miz defended the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Kevin Owens in one of WWE’s best matches of the year. Zack Ryder was nowhere to be found. If you’re wondering, Ryder shared his whereabouts in a post on social media:
.@mikethemiz is defending the IC Title right now at #ExtremeRules. I'm eating at @Outback in Baltimore. Something is wrong here.

Outback Steakhouse. No extreme rules, just extreme right?
With the recent WWE roster departures both forced and otherwise, you’ve got to wonder how long Ryder will keep going to chain restaurants on pay-per-view nights instead of wrestling.
Until we find out, look upon this photo, ye mighty, and despair.
