Stephen Amell Reveals Cody Rhodes Will Appear On Season Five Of ‘Arrow’

Cody Rhodes and Stephen Amell have been linked since last summer when Amell showed up on WWE programming and eventually fought Stardust at SummerSlam. The duo continued their feud outside of the ring when Rhodes, in character as Stardust, interrupted Amell at a fan fest. Despite their on-screen feud though, the two are friends in real life and have worked together to raise money for charity.

If you thought just because Rhodes is now gone from WWE that he and Amell wouldn’t be working together again the future, think again, because according to Amell, Rhodes is set to star alongside him on the next season of Arrow.

The two did a panel together on Saturday at a Heroes and Villans fest in New Jersey, and although they didn’t divulge much information on who the former Intercontinental Champion would be playing, Amell did confirm that indeed Rhodes would be on the next season of The CW show.

When Rhodes left WWE, he mentioned acting as a potential future career step for him, and now he’ll be getting his first opportunity to explore that path. Amell previously promised that the next season of Arrow would be “mean” so draw your own conclusions about what that could mean in terms of who Rhodes will be portraying.

Rhodes will not be the first wrestler to appear in the Arrow-Flash-Legend’s of Tomorrow universe though, as Edge appeared on an episode of The Flash last season, playing Atom Smasher.
