Simon Pegg will star in director Peter Chelsom”s upcoming comedy-drama “Hector and the Search For Happiness.”
Pegg will play Hector, a London psychiatrist who doesn’t seem to be able to help any of his patients. Desperate for change, he abruptly leaves behind his old life in a global search for happiness.
Chelsom and Tinker Lindsay wrote the screenplay based on the bestselling novel by François Lelord.
Pegg was recently seen “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and “Paul,” which he co-wrote. He’ll recently wrapped up “Star Trek 2” and will soon reunite with his “Shaun of the Dead”/”Hot Fuzz” BFFs Nick Frost and Edgar Wright for “World’s End.”
Chelsom previously directed “Shall We Dance?” and “Funny Bones.”
