For the third time in WWE history, the Big Show got superplexed off the top rope so hard that it broke the entire ring. This time, the aggressor was Braun Strowman, who continued his reign of terror by laying waste to Big Show, and by extension, the squared circle. This was how the main event of Monday night’s episode of Raw ended:

This entire match between Strowman and Big Show was built around both men trying to superplex the other, and the crowd caught on to exactly what they were doing right from the outset. By the time the finish came, the crowd was absolutely rabid for the ring to collapse. And the two giants did not disappoint.
The first time WWE pulled off this trick was on Smackdown back in 2003, when Brock Lesnar managed to superplex Big Show, busting the ring all to smithereens.
Big Show must love this spot, because it made a comeback eight years later, when Mark Henry superplexed show at the Vengeance pay-per-view.

Show vs. Henry is obviously the biggest and heaviest version of this trick, but arguably it has never been timed as well or presented better than it was on Monday night. Well done to all involved. Oh yeah, and the match leading up to that ending completely ruled, as well.
