NXT TakeOver: Chicago May Have To Change One Of Its Title Matches

We’re just two weeks away from the next NXT TakeOver, and there may be an unfortunate wrench in the works. Just this past week, the NXT Women’s Championship was set when Asuka fudged up the end of a No. 1 contender’s battle royal. Commissioner William Regal announced that as a result, the Women’s Championship would be defended in a Fatal 4-Way, pitting Asuka against Ember Moon, Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot.

During Asuka’s attack on the three women, Ember Moon took a particularly nasty spill to the floor, and may have injured her shoulder in the process.

Ember has been spotted in recent pictures following that taping sporting a sling, F4WOnline reported that Ember Moon is no longer being advertised as being part of the title match at TakeOver, and that there are new graphics presented at NXT Live Events depicting the match as a Triple Threat Match.

It is worth noting that WWE has not officially announced the change to the match in any outlet or on any social media, and that the official match listing on WWE.com still shows it as a Fatal 4-Way including Ember.

Hopefully this turns out to be a storyline injury, or that Moon has had enough time to recuperate between the injury at the taping and the night of TakeOver to be cleared to return to action.
