NXT TakeOver: New Orleans Results:
1. NXT North American Championship Ladder Match: Adam Cole defeated Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, EC3, Velveteen Dream and Ricochet. Cole defeated the five other competitors by tipping Ricochet off a ladder, then quickly ascending it himself to grab the North American Championship.
2. NXT Women’s Championship Match: Shayna Baszler defeated Ember Moon (c). Moon attempted an Eclipse but got caught by Baszler in the Kirifuda Clutch. Moon passed out in the submission hold, giving Baszler her first taste of NXT gold.
3. NXT Tag Team Championship Match & Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: The Undisputed Era (c) defeated the Authors Of Pain and Pete Dunne & Roderick Strong. Dunne was about to pin Kyle O’Reilly when Strong hit his partner with the End Of Heartache and threw O’Reilly on top of him, giving the victory and the Dusty Cup to the Undisputed Era.
4. NXT Championship Match: Aleister Black defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas (c). Zelina Vega attempted to interfere by jumping toward Black in the ring, but Black ducked and Almas caught her, allowing Black to connect with a Black Mass kick for the pinfall victory.
5. Unsanctioned Match: Johnny Gargano defeated Tommaso Ciampa. Gargano tapped out Ciampa with an STF assisted by placing Ciampa’s knee brace over his own face. Gargano is now reinstated in NXT.
