Who doesn’t love a little reunion tour? That’s what WWE is hoping for, anyway, as the wrestling Goliath is putting one of its legendary wrestling foursomes back together for one of its largest shows.
One of the biggest surprises of the 1,000th episode of WWE Smackdown is apparently out of the bag already, as Cageside Seats reported on Friday that Evolution — Triple H, Randy Orton, Ric Flair and would be reuniting for the event. The October 16 show in Washington, D.C. promises to be a big one, but having that many WWE champions come back together for a special night of grappling should be fun.
WWE later confirmed it themselves with a video they tweeted out Friday night, officially setting the stage for the wrestling group to come back together and give the fans a show.
EVOLUTION REUNITES! @TripleH, @DaveBautista, @RandyOrton & @RicFlairNatrBoy will reunite at #SD1000 on Tuesday, Oct. 16! pic.twitter.com/L4YWKwrNuM

Wrestling is full of tag teams coming together to reach great heights and then inevitably fall apart, whether through a script or just differences of opinion. The last time WWE got Evolution back together it was to battle The Shield on Raw, but it isn’t clear what purpose this will serve this time.
The video teases more announcements about what’s to come for Smackdown 1000, and there’s no word on exactly what Evolution will actually do at the event, but you’d expect some of the more, well, spry members of the group might actually see some action in the ring. At the very least, they’ll be a lot of fun on the mic.
