NXT held its live TV tapings at Full Sail University on Wednesday night, for the remainder of the January 2019 tapings heading into NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. Here’s everything that happened, and everything you need to know.

January 9 Episode
– Johnny Gargano cuts a disingenuous babyface promo about how he’s not friends with Tommaso Ciampa again, and is targeting Ricochet’s North American Championship. Ricochet interrupted to offer Gargano a title shot, and Ciampa interrupted them both. Aleister Black teleported to the ring and attacked Ciampa. Gargano took advantage of the distraction and attacked Ricochet.
1. Bianca Belair defeated Nikki Cross. This was Cross’ final NXT match before heading up to the main roster, as she stayed in the ring afterward and received a “thank you Nikki” chant.
2. Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner defeated enhancement talent Hector Kunsman and Stanley Watts.
3. Adam Cole defeated EC3. After the match, Undisputed Era attacked EC3 until the War Raiders made the save.
January 16 Episode
1. The Street Profits defeated enhancement talent, “The Metro Brothers.” After the match, The Forgotten Sons attacked the Profits.
– Bianca Belair cut a promo on how she sent Nikki Cross packing from NXT, and will defeat Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver: Phoenix. Baszler and the Horsewomen interrupt and call her stupid. Belair slaps Baszler, and bails before the Horsewomen can attack her.
2. Dominik Dijakovic defeated Adrian Jaoude.
3. Johnny Gargano defeated Humberto Carrillo.
4. Kassius Ohno defeated Keith Lee. Ohno won with a low blow. He tried to attack Lee after the match, but Matt Riddle made the save.
January 23 Episode
– Velveteen Dream cuts a promo targeting the North American Championship in 201. Undisputed Era interrupted and said they’d hold all the championships in 2019. They tried to attack The Dream, but he got away.
1. Lacey Evans defeated Xia Li. Like a lady.
2. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch defeated Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner.
3. Io Shirai and Kairi Sane defeated Amber Nova and Tanea Brooks. Brooks is former TNA star Rebel.
– Ricochet cut a promo in response to Johnny Gargano attacking him. Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa attack him, and it turns into a fight between the former DIY and Ricochet and Aleister Black. Gargano teases a reunion with Ciampa, but is stopped by Candice LeRae.
