WWE Studios and Paramount Animation are co-producing an animated movie called Rumble, and wrestlers Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns will be members of the cast. Other actors in the movie include Terry Crews, Ben Schwartz, Will Arnett, and Tony Danza.
According to Deadline, Rumble, “is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes,” and is about a character named Winnie, “who seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching a lovable underdog monster into a wrestling champion.” Are these monsters classic Frankenstein and Dracula types, more like the Monstars from Space Jam, or some other thing? There’s no promotional art for this movie yet, so sady, this important question can’t be answered at this time.
This is Lynch’s first acting role since she played the villain in another WWE Studios production, The Marine 6: Close Quarters. Reigns has been building an acting resume beyond WWE – not to belittle his role in 2017’s The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!, which is definitely the best animated movie to ever feature Big Show traveling to the future. In addition to his minor role alongside his cousin, The Rock, in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Reigns guest-starred on the Nickelodeon series Cousins for Life, and will lend his voice to the Disney animated series Elena Of Avalor.
