Teddy Hart is, bar none, one of the strangest people I’ve ever met in or out of wrestling. When I started getting into indy wrestling, all I ever saw were rumors about how unsafe he was, accompanied by links to his infamous Ring of Honor incident. Fast-forward to October of last year, and not only does he show up on time for Inspire Pro Wrestling (with his cat!), but he puts on an awesome match and he’s exceedingly nice to everyone in the building. Disarmingly nice. Then, two months after that, a warrant goes out for his arrest relating to multiple charges of sexual assault. The point I’m making is that he tends to be all over the map. Case in point, here he is sitting down with Trent? and Chuck Taylor, who you may recognize from that Dragon Gate/EVOLVE Chinese tour mini-documentary. Be wary of the NSFW language, and place your bets on when things get awkward.

Congrats if you guessed “right at the 5-minute mark.” Yikes.
If the point of this teaser from Highspots is to make me want to see the whole thing, then I have to admit, it’s done its job beautifully. Even a few other independent stars like Ricochet and Drew Galloway (a.k.a. Prince Puma and Drew McIntyre) show up to hear Teddy ramble. Much like Chuck Taylor, I thoroughly believe that “Hard Left” Teddy Hart needs to happen. But while we’re fantasy booking real life here, it’d also be nice if he’d never gone and done whatever got him wanted by Canadian police. Also, I’m the dumbest person on earth when it comes to weed, but I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to smoke it right in your cat’s face.
