Alberto El Patron Finally Cuts Loose In This Week’s Exclusive Lucha Underground Clip

You know what’s great? Getting to see Alberto Del Rio wrestle.

One of the reasons I keep telling you to watch Lucha Underground is for the novelty of it. It’s shot like a movie, not like a wrestling show. It’s got vibes of old luchador horror movies. Some of the wrestlers have shoot magical powers. There are dragons and guys who wear dear carcasses on their heads and John Morrison is there, and it’s all just super weird and great.

The best thing, though, is that as the show continues moving forward and becoming more and more of a success, it’ll attract stars from other promotions, and we’ll get to see them reinvented through the Lucha Underground lens. Alberto El Patron is the first of those major stars, and getting to see him cut loose and throw dives to the floor is great. It’s something you wish you could’ve seen elsewhere, but couldn’t, for whatever reason. Now it’s happening, and you should probably watch the hell out of it.

This week’s exclusive clip is a bit of El Patron vs. Texano. This is a baby portion.

Here’s the tune-in information and another clip, because why not?

Wednesday, March 4th at 8:00PM ET/PT on El Rey Network, a rivalry is renewed from Mexico. Then, Dario Cueto pairs two luchadores with a history of bad blood. Don’t miss the Huge Main Event on this all-new episode, “A War Started In Mexico…”

The new 39-episode series from Emmy Award®-winning producer Mark Burnett combines ancient lucha libre tradition, extraordinary athleticism and a flare for theatrics in each hour-long episode. Every Wednesday, viewers will have a backstage and ringside seat as masked villains and heroes tell their stories while facing off to battle for wrestling supremacy resulting in programming that is unlike anything else on the screen.
