Taz Has Officially Parted Ways With Impact Wrestling

Taz — TNA announcer and human suplex machine (an early failed prototype to Lucha Underground’s Brian Cage) — has officially parted ways with Impact Wrestling. He sent the following tweet on Wednesday evening:

Taz was absent from a recent voice taping in Nashville for future episode broadcasts. According to PWInsider, Taz deliberately missed the tapings over a pay dispute. After switching payroll companies, some TNA stars complained that their paychecks were late. Impact wrestlers Matt Hardy and Manik shot down the rumors that morale was low and employees weren’t getting paid. Our sources inside Impact Wrestling also confirmed that they personally have never had any pay issues and were quite happy with the company, but they could not comment on the affairs of others.

It appears that Taz has removed almost all mentions of TNA from his Twitter account. Taz joined TNA in 2009 as a non-wrestling adviser to Samoa Joe, before moving to commentary for the next six years.

While we won’t miss his constant misogyny or awkward chuckles between failed jokes, we will miss… um… okay, well, good luck to you anyway, Taz. Hopefully you can find something that let’s you be super gross to women while wearing sunglasses indoors that also doesn’t get you arrested.

Godspeed, little doodle.
