Ronda Rousey Vows To Return To A WWE Ring ‘Some Way, Some Day’

Each new day, it feels like the prospect of Ronda Rousey returning to a WWE ring to tear Stephanie McMahon’s arm off and feed it to her grows a little more faint. Last we heard, Dana White said that Rousey’s WrestleMania appearance was a “one and done,” so that’s that, right?

Well, maybe not. During a recent appearance on the The MMA Hour, Rousey still sounded very intent on returning to WWE

“I’m going to find a way. Somehow, some way, some day. I just have no clue when.”

Hope springs eternal! So, when’s this “some day” happening? This week? Payback could certainly use a bit of a boost. Unfortunately, it sounds like pro-wrestling fans are going to be waiting for a while.

“I’m willing to find a way to get back in there. I don’t know how it would be possible in the foreseeable future. It’s definitely not possible for a very long time, I have an extremely full schedule.”

OK, I can deal with that. There are various definitions of “very long.” According to the Wrestling Observer, despite being blindsided by White’s “one and done” proclamation, WWE still thinks they can get Rousey for next year’s WrestleMania, and, in fact, there are rough plans for her to return in October at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Will that actually happen? It’s impossible to say, but at least we know two of the three parties in this little dance are definitely down to do business.
