Arrow returned last week with something of a bang; Ollie finds himself given a job offer he can’t refuse, Quentin has decided he’s sick of Ollie’s crap, Ra’s Al Ghul frames Ollie for murder, and Nyssa, just a wee bit upset her father has passed her over in favor of some rich-kid vigilante, agrees to start “training” Laurel. And all of that will probably take a backseat to the return of the Suicide Squad, which we will be liveblogging.
In typical Suicide Squad form, the show’s bringing back a few minor villains. You might remember Cupid from earlier in the season; she’s back, alongside Deadshot, and the two of them will be crashing Diggle’s wedding. We’re sure introducing the man that killed your brother to your guests won’t be awkward… wait, did they ever bother to explain why Diggle’s basically given up seeking justice for his brother? They more or less mentioned that, oh yeah, HIVE wanted Diggle’s brother dead but they never really followed up on that.
Anyway, while that’s happening, we finally get to see Iron Atom in action as he’s going after Ollie for murder. Which if you think about it, really should be something everybody’s after Ollie for. It wasn’t that long ago the guy racked up a double-digit body count. Similarly, Felicity and Ray will stop getting along quite so well; hunting down your girlfriend’s best friend will kinda put a damper on things.
