The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have remarkably similar themes this week: Namely, our heroes spend time getting close to their worst enemies. Of course, they do it for entirely different reasons, which we will be liveblogging.
First up, at 8 p.m., we’ve got The Flash unraveling the mystery of one Harrison Wells, who, of course, is the Reverse Flash, and was recently revealed to be somebody who stole the face of the brilliant scientist and took over his life. But good luck proving that to the people he’s mentored. Also, Quentin and Laurel show up in this episode for no explicable reason, so brace yourselves.
Meanwhile, at 9 p.m., Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would like to remind you it’s in the same universe as the Avengers movies:
As for what’s actually happening in this episode, Coulson recruits Grant Ward and his screwy coworker/girlfriend to his fight against… uh… the other S.H.I.E.L.D. Which actually seems like kind of a chill organization considering what they could have done to all the people they captured, so maybe you could, I dunno, Phil, make a few phone calls? Have a meeting? Settle this without violence? Also, Skye is apparently done with her Inhumans spa visit because she and Lincoln will be involved in the S.H.I.E.L.D. infighting.
