‘Equalizer’: Denzel Washington goes vigilante to a new Eminem song in second trailer

Denzel Washington is back for more.

The Oscar winner takes on a gang of Russian gangsters in the new trailer for “The Equalizer,” a forthcoming actioner based on the '80s TV series of the same name that reunites Washington with his “Training Day” director Antoine Fuqua. As you might have guessed, there's lots of slick (a.k.a. glamorized) violence on display here, all set to a new song by Eminem (feat. Sia) that will be featured on the film's soundtrack (no title for the track has yet been released). For those interested: the song kicks in about halfway through.

I personally find this new trailer as distasteful and irresponsible as the first because I don't like the way it packages the violence, but then who cares what I think, right? Based on the reaction to the first trailer I have no doubt this is going to be a big hit.

“The Equalizer” hits theaters on September 26.
