Exclusive: Oliver Queen didn’t even live through two issues of GREEN ARROW: REBIRTH

One of the saddest parts of the DC Comics” New 52 was how they split up Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance. Green Arrow and Black Canary were one of the most solid couples in the DCEU, and while I adored Black Canary”s solo series, I missed her loving snark with Ollie. When REBIRTH promised to fix the ‘lack of love” in the universe, I became very hopeful the Green Canary (is that their ship name?) would fly once more.

GREEN ARROW: REBIRTH #1 did a lot of things. It brought back Green Arrow”s goatee (thank God). It had Oliver Queen declare himself a ‘Social Justice Warrior” (bless you, Benjamin Percy). It even had a meet-cute between Dinah and Ollie that involved Green Arrow giving a child a bath (bye, ovaries!). All in all, it was a perfect reintroduction to the series.

Apparently, that”s all going away tomorrow when GREEN ARROW #2 hits comic book shelves. It wouldn”t be a Green Arrow story if Ollie weren't getting in over his head.

From the press release:

“‘THE DEATH AND LIFE OF OLIVER QUEEN” Chapter Two: In #2, Green Arrow is betrayed, broken and left for dead. He wakes up in a world where the once-wealthy Oliver Queen has no resources and only the faintest clue what”s happened to him. Meanwhile, in a distant land, an old ally begins a quest to help the Emerald Archer in his darkest hour.”

HitFix Harpy has got an exclusive look inside the issue at just how bad the situation is. Let”s just say…Oliver has gotten out of worse. I just can”t think of any examples right now.
