Muggles of the world, it”s almost your time to experience the next official Harry Potter story.
For some Muggles, that time has already come. Public preview performances of new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child began in London”s West End on Tuesday.
But with the official opening yet to come on July 30 (Neville”s birthday) and the worldwide print release of the play”s script set for July 31 (Harry”s birthday), J.K. Rowling is asking lucky attendees at the preview shows to “keep the secrets,” even giving them pins bearing the hashtag #KeepTheSecrets.
“You”ve been amazing for years at keeping Harry Potter secrets so you didn”t spoil the books for readers who came after you,” the author said in a video on the play”s official Twitter account. “I”m asking you one more time to keep secrets and let audiences enjoy Cursed Child with the secrets that we”ve built into the story.”
With #CursedChild public previews starting tomorrow @jk_rowling has a message for all of us. #KeepTheSecretshttps://t.co/NpBvXEZ00W
