Seth MacFarlane shoots for dirty laughs in ‘Million Ways to Die’ red band trailer

“Family Guy” and “Ted” mastermind Seth MacFarlane is bringing his skewed sense of humor to the American frontier in this summer’s “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” and the brand new red band trailer proves that he’s sticking to his guns in the dirty department.

MacFarlane himself plays an ordinary shepherd in constant awe of just how dangerous frontier life is (among other threats are exploding cameras, killer splinters, and falling ice). After losing his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) to another man, he begins training with a sexy gunslinger (Charlize Theron) in order to face down an infamous outlaw played by the great Liam Neeson. Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman and Giovanni Ribisi also star.

“A Million Ways to Die in the West” opens May 30.
