Donald Trump had been uncharacteristically quiet about Hillary Clinton‘s health ever since she was diagnosed with pneumonia, stating earlier this week that he “just hope[s] she gets well and gets back on the trail.” Now that Clinton’s been given a clean bill of health, however, the Republican presidential nominee is back to poking fun at his opponent’s “stamina,” or as he claims, a lack thereof.
At a campaign rally in Ohio Wednesday night, Trump told a crowd of supporters he feels “as good today as I did when I was 30.” Commenting on the temperature of the room, he then joked that Clinton wouldn’t be able to remain standing in the heat — a direct shot at her for “overheating” and appearing to stumble at the 9/11 memorial service in New York City.
“It is hot — and it’s always hot when I perform because the crowds are so big. These rooms were not designed for this kind of a crowd,” Trump told his audience. “I dunno, folks. You think Hillary would be able to stand up here for an hour and do this? I don’t know. I don’t think so.”
Trump’s health, on the other hand, remains a mystery, despite a hastily written doctor’s note. More information may come out when the Republican presidential nominee’s pre-taped Dr. Oz episode airs later today.
