We hope you’re getting used to a WWE without Daniel Bryan.
Since his initial surgery and sabbatical led to the premature end of his long-awaited WWE World Heavyweight Championship run, we’ve been clinging to legitimate news sources, family members and dirt sheets alike, waiting for good news. He won’t need a second neck surgery! It’s still good! It’s still good! Brie said he’s getting strength back in his arm. It’s still good! It’s still good!
According to the latest update from SEScoops, the gents who broke the “Bryan needs career-threatening neck surgery” news in the first place, Brayn’s not getting any better and may, in fact, need another surgery. That could keep him out for another year.
The latest as of Monday night is that Bryan is seeing no improvement with his arm. Backstage at RAW from Atlanta, a lot of the talent was talking about the fact Bryan may be getting the “Tommy John Surgery.”
The medical term for the procedure is as ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) reconstruction, which is a surgical graft procedure in which the ulnar collateral ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a tendon from elsewhere in the body”. (WebMD)
The typical recovery for Tommy John Surgery is 6-12 months depending on the physical activity the athlete is involved in.
“It’s gone.”
“I know.”
The way wrestling works, you never know. Brie Bella was casually telling people he was fine during Total Divas promotional work, and now we’re hearing the opposite from talent backstage. Is it legit, or just a red herring for a surprise return at the Royal Rumble? Can we stay that optimistic? WWE needs Bryan back, and hell, so do we.
We’ll keep you updated when the next bit of news breaks and we’re done solemnly resting our heads on our desks.
