The Rock is doing his press run for Furious 7 because you need to be convinced that you hate yourself enough to go see it. Naturally, he’s fielding a ton of questions about wrestling and his return to the ring. On his latest interview with Chris Van Vliet, Rock played coy about returning to the ring for a big-time match with Brock Lesnar in Jerry World:
“In Dallas? Possibly. There’s a lot of things that are up in the air. Lot of things are up in the air. We’ll see. I would love that rematch, I would love… whatever it is, you want to create something that’s going to be special, memorable, especially in Dallas at that stadium you have a shot at breaking the attendance record. It’s got to be special.”
This is interesting. There’s a clear storyline arc that can be drawn from Brock beating Reigns at WrestleMania and Rock returning to extract revenge. Or maybe even Roman beats Brock but Brock beats Reigns up and Rock has to make the save. Whatever the case, this is all contingent on at least Brock re-signing some kind of contract with WWE.
I’m sure that if Rock is going to be at Levi’s Stadium for Mania, he’ll Instagram a black & white picture of himself in front of the Full House home Sunday afternoon. Stay tuned.
