Damien Sandow Wants You To Sign A Petition To Get Him More Screen Time On WWE TV

It hasn’t been a great year for Damien Sandow. Before WrestleMania 31, Sandow was the hottest he had ever been while competing as Damien Mizdow, The Miz’s stunt double, and he was the runner-up in the 2015 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

After that gimmick was dropped, though, the self-professed intellectual savior of the masses briefly started badly imitating Macho Man Randy Savage before eventually going back to his original character and largely disappearing from WWE television. Now, Sandow is essentially doing nothing of significance, and he was an afterthought in this year’s battle royal at WrestleMania, being one of the first competitors eliminated.

Despite that, Sandow still has a relatively large fan base, and he is urging his supporters on social media to make their voices heard.

One way to do that is to force WWE’s hand by getting the actual United States government to take a break from worrying about climate change, gun control, and the threat of nuclear war to ensure that the former Mr. Money in the Bank was being properly utilized on WWE television. At least, that appeared to be the thought process of one particularly angry Sandow supporter who has started an official online petition to try and force the powers that be to give Sandow a chance to showcase his abilities once again.

The petition is officially titled: “#FreeSandow from the oppression of a ruthless dictator. Force WWE to give Damien Sandow TV time,” and the description reads:

We the People want to see Damien Sandow on RAW, Smackdown, Superstars, and/or NXT. Mr. Sandow is a huge talent and deserves the right to work in this industry. #FreeSandow #PushSandow #GiveSandowAChance #SandowRevolution #WeThePeople

Sandow, who is clearly on his very last f*ck to give at this point, has been pumping the petition on his Twitter account.

So far, the petition has a whopping 288 signatures, meaning it is only 99,712 away from garnering an official response from President Obama’s administration.

Normally I would say that this seems like a lost cause, but Zack Ryder didĀ justĀ win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, so really anything is possible at this point.
