Former undefeated WCW juggernaut and World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg expressed his enthusiasm for Glory, a kickboxing promotion, back on February 6, during Glory 19. This is understandable, as kickboxing in general is pretty amazing. The weird thing is Glory’s response:
The biggest question is who Glory could find to face the 48-year old former pro wrestler. According to Bloody Elbow, it sounds like there’s someone already in mind:
One name who might fit the bill is WWE veteran Albert Del Rio, who was recently name checked by GLORY CEO Jon Franklin as having expressed interest in competing under kickboxing rules.
That sounds so insane that I’d expect it to be a joint decision made by TNA and Bellator, not Glory. Lest we forget, here’s what happened when Goldberg kicked a guy for real and when Del Rio took shoot kick:
