LaFonce Latham Of ‘Wrestling With Death’ Wants To Wrestle Vince McMahon

Back in November, I found out about Wrestling with Death, a reality show that follows the Latham family. They run a mortuary service in a small Arkansas town, and on the weekends, put on wrestling matches. Now, with the season premiere coming up next Tuesday (Don’t worry, I’ll be recapping it so nobody else has to watch it), Zap2It conducted an interview with “Big Daddy”, LaFonce Latham, the paterfamilias:

Which job is more difficult — The mortuary or wrestling?
Mortuary.

What is the best thing about working in a mortuary?
Being there for people in their most difficult time.

Sensible answers here, I would imagine dealing with dead bodies and grieving families on a constant basis would get difficult.

What is the best thing about being a pro wrestler?
The excitement of the roar of the crowd.

What’s it like sharing two careers with your entire family?
It’s great when you have a business and can still have family time together.

Again, another decent set of answers, and he ties in how much he loves his family.

Marry/kiss/kick to the curb: Vince McMahon, The Undertaker, John Cena
Kick for all!

If you could wrestle anyone in the world, who would it be?
Vince McMahon

I like how G-rated the interview made F/M/K, but seriously, LaFonce, you wouldn’t even at least give the Undertaker a smooch? Him and Paul Bearer are legends among funeral-based wrestlers!

Of course he wants to wrestle Vince (Real talk, I’m pretty sure he says “rassle”) because who wouldn’t want to body slam Vinny Mac on a bed of mouse traps?

What is your favorite match you’ve ever seen?
Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit (1990 “WCW Nitro” tribute match after the death of Owen Hart, who was Bret’s brother).

Uh, well, I see two issues with this answer. The first, of course, is the year is off by almost a decade. Second is maybe “Big Daddy” should have revised his answer back in 2007.

Wrestling With Death premiers on Tuesday, January 13 on WGN.
