Anyone who is familiar with Total Divas or Total Bellas — or WWE women’s wrestling from the past decade — knows that if there’s one thing the Bella Twins are good at, it’s improvisation. I believe they either studied at Comedy Sportz or Upright Citizens Brigade. Anyway, someone finally made the all-important command decision to send the Bellas back to their roots (similar to Oney Lorcan). So Brie and Nicole Bella will be special guest stars on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, a show that still exists. No, really!
You may remember Whose Line from its earlier incarnation, which was hosted by Drew Carey, and helped make Wayne Brady a household name. Or maybe you remember the original, British version, which also ruled a lot. Well, the show returned in 2013 (!) and has been running on The CW ever since. The current incarnation is hosted by Aisha Tyler (the voice of Lana on Archer, if you weren’t aware), and features the same all-star regular improv troupe of Brady, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles, with many of the same rotating fourth guests from the Drew Carey days.
Anyway, yeah, the Bellas are going to be special guest stars on the June 5th episode of Whose Line, which will also feature Jeff Davis in the fourth chair (which will please people who are fans of both professional wrestling and Harmontown; so … me, basically). The current version of the show has had special guests before, who are usually there to be sung to and/or improvised at, but we can hold out hope that we get to see Nikki and Brie show off their improv chops.
