Let’s Take A Moment To Appreciate Sasha Banks’ Tumblr

I’m not saying anything that hasn’t already been said louder and more eloquently, but it’s a crying shame that Team B.A.D. isn’t more of a focal point in the People’s Glorious Divas Revolution of 2015. Naomi, Tamina, and Sasha Banks are three personalities that play off each other incredibly well. They’re undeniably entertaining, whether it’s on WWE television or dueling with The New Day in elaborate Twitter exclusives. Naomi has already been in the spotlight for getting fired up at the lack of attention she was receiving, and yesterday I started seeing chatter that Sasha Banks was doing the same. Though when I looked at the post in question, it was really just a harmless joke she reblogged on her Tumblr. And then that got me thinking, “Holy sh*t no one is paying attention to Sasha Banks on Tumblr.”

I don’t think it’s entirely fair or accurate to call Tumblr a social-media platform, but it’s certainly an outlet for creativity, and Sasha has been crushing it for about two years now. As far as I know, she’s the only person on the WWE roster with an account. There’s an official WWE account, but it’s pretty sparsely managed. Here’s the post (found at the bottom) that raised some eyebrows, for the record.

Just a harmless Watchmen reference, nothing to really get up in arms about. If you’ve got some sense, you’re probably way more interested in the rest of her account. She posts a ton of fashion inspiration, fan art, selfies, and generous helpings of Sailor Moon GIFs. It feels way less corporate and sterile than any WWE Twitter account, it lets her interact with fans, and it’s just an undeniable Sasha Banks Thing. I’d say it’s one of the top two wrestling Tumblr accounts out there, along with the one that posts all the screenshots of WCW Monday Nitro audience members. I hope I get to meet the guy who runs that one day.
